The two clubs have the by far biggest fan bases in Norway and the rivalry between them is merciless. Last season we plotted round by round the status in Premier League and the curve reminds of a children's drawing. The start of this season is not less spectacular.

In the diagram previous season, we platted for each round two point for two values:

  • What is the combined probability of ending the season ‘Top 4’
  • What is the expected number of points between the clubs at the end of the season?

The curve started at (13.2 and 1.21) and ended at (-8 and 1) but during the course of the season the values were even more spectacular.

This season we are monitoring the rivalry by means of two curves integrated in the same chart. This is partly because it remains indetermined if ‘Top 4’ or ‘Top 5’ is the objective. This all comes down to the EPS.

The orange curve plots the combination of ‘Positions between clubs’ and ‘Combined probability for Top 5’. The blue curve presents the combination of ‘Points between clubs’ and ‘Combined probability for Top 4’.

Already we observe big changes, but based on the experience from previous season, we have a lots of twists and turns ahead of us!
